YUI (lahir di Fukuoka, Prefektur Fukuoka, 26 Maret 1987; umur 22 tahun) adalah penyanyi wanita dan pencipta lagu asal Jepang. Yui tampil bernyanyi sambil memainkan gitar, dan dua dari lagunya, "Life" dan "Rolling Star" menjadi lagu pembuka dan penutup seri ke-5 serial anime Bleach. Album pertamanya, From Me To You dirilis 22 Februari 2006, terdiri dari 13 lagu dan 9 lagu di antaranya belum pernah dirilis sebelumnya.

Karier

 

Yui memulai menulis lirik lagunya sendiri sewaktu di kelas 3 SMP. Yui sangat bercita-cita menjadi penyanyi, dan pergi ke mana-mana dengan selalu membawa gitarnya. Sewaktu SMA, ia sering menyaksikan pertunjukan grup musik bianco nero di jalanan, dan memutuskan untuk berhenti sekolah. Yui mulai belajar menyanyi, menulis lagu, dan memainkan gitar di kursus musik kota Fukuoka.

Sambil bersila di atas kasur, Yui memainkan gitarnya dan menulis lagu pertama yang diberi judul "Why me". Setelah itu, ia mulai menyanyi di pinggir jalan di kawasan Tenjin, Fukuoka sebagai atraksi pembuka bagi teman satu tempat kursus musik.

Bulan Maret 2004, Yui mengikuti audisi "SD Audition" yang diadakan Sony Music Japan. Dari 20 ribu peserta hanya 10 orang yang tersisa termasuk Yui. Duduk menyilangkan kaki di lantai, Yui bernyanyi sambil memetik gitar. Lagu yang dibawakannya waktu itu sebanyak 3 buah lagu, "Why me", "It's happy line", dan "I know". Finalis hanya boleh membawakan 2 buah lagu menurut peraturan audisi, tapi juri memberikan nilai yang sangat tinggi bagi Yui. Setelah itu, berbagai perusahaan rekaman menjadi saling berebut untuk mengontraknya. Lagu pertama yang dinyanyikan, "Why Me" nantinya dijadikan single perdana, diikuti dengan "It's Happy Line" dan "I Know". Keduanya diterbitkan sebagai singel indie debutnya, "It's Happy Line" dengan lagu "I Know" di sisi B.

Sebagai penghargaan kepada kampung halamannya, Yui menulis lagu "Feel My Soul" ketika meninggalkan kampung halamannya, Fukuoka. Seorang produser dari stasiun televisi Fuji TV mendengar video klip demo lagu tersebut, dan bermaksud menjadikannya sebagai lagu tema serial drama di Fuji TV. Debut singel Yui, "Feel My Soul" yang dirilis 23 Februari 2006 dijadikan lagu tema serial drama Fukigen na Gene. Serial drama tersebut dihiasi lagu-lagu Yui, seperti "Feel My Soul" dan "It's Happy Line". Singel "Feel My Soul" laku di atas 100 ribu keping, namun 3 singel berikutnya, "Tomorrow's Way", "Life", dan "Tokyo" ternyata tidak sesukses "Feel My Soul". Setelah merilis 4 buah singel, album pertama Yui yang berjudul From Me To You dirilis bulan Februari 2006 dan laku di atas 200 ribu keping.

Sementara itu, Yui memulai karier akting dengan membintangi film berjudul Midnight Sun (Taiyou no Uta). Film tersebut diputar di Festival Film Cannes 2006 dan dirilis di Jepang pada 17 Juni 2006. Singel ke-5, "Good-bye Days" khusus ditulisnya untuk film Midnight Sun. Kepopuleran singel Yui yang sebelumnya kembali terangkat setelah singel ke-6, "I Remember You" diedarkan.

"Rolling Star" adalah singel ke-7 Yui yang dijadikan lagu pembuka seri ke-5 anime Bleach. Singel ke-3, "Life" juga dipakai sebagai lagu penutup seri ke-5 anime yang sama. Selain itu, iklan televisi ponsel KDDI layanan "au Listen Mobile Service" memakai singel ke-8 Yui, "CHE.R.RY" sebagai lagu tema.

Sementara itu, album kedua, Can't Buy My Love menduduki puncak tangga album Oricon selama 2 minggu berturut-turut, dan laku lebih dari 500.000 keping.

Singel ke-9 berjudul "My Generation/Understand" dirilis 13 Juni 2007, sekaligus merupakan singel pertama Yui yang berbentuk double A-side (dua lagu unggulan di sisi A). My Generation menjadi lagu tema untuk serial drama Seitosho-kun, dan "Understand" menjadi lagu tema film Sidecar ni Inu.

Singel ke-10, "Love & Truth", dirilis 26 September 2007, merupakan lagu tema dari film yang dibintangi oleh Erika Sawajiri, yang berjudul Closed Note

Back-On

Back On adalah grup rock asal Jepang yang terdiri dari lima anggota. Band ini mengkombinasikan rock, rap dan nuansa disko yang telah menggemparkan industri musik di Jepang pada tahun 2002. Nama band ini berasal dari huruf kanji 爆音, bakuon　 yang berarti ledakan suara. Band ini telah memperoleh sukses yang amat besar di Jepang. Salah satu lagu Back-on, Chain, dipilih menjadi soundtrack anime Air Gear. Lagu pembuka Murderer Princess, Hikari Sasuhou (versi metal), dan lagu Eyeshield 21, Blaze Line, dll. Mereka juga menulis lagu penutup untuk acara anime dan TV. Ini termasuk lagu Flower dan A day dreaming ... untuk Eyeshield 21, dan Butterfly untuk drama televisi larut malam, Swan Shinjuku, dan lagu Sands of Time untuk drama robot mobile TV, Keitai Sousakan 7. Sejarah Band

Kenji03 dan Gori sudah bersahabat sejak mereka kecil. Mereka tinggal di daerah Adachi, dimana daerah itu merupakan daerah kriminal dan padat penduduk. Pada saat mereka kelas 6, seorang teman mereka yang pandai memainkan gitar memengaruhi mereka untuk membentuk band. Tapi, Kenji03 dan Gori membentuk band secara terpisah. Saat mereka di sekolah menengah, Kenji03 bertemu Teeda sedangkan Gori bertemu Shu. Mula-mulanya mereka masih berpisah, tapi, mereka bergabung kemudian.
Back-on muncul pertama kali di panggung internasional pada saat festival Anime Matsuri bulan April 2007 di Houston, Texas. Dan baru-baru ini mereka diundang kembali untuk Anime Matsuri 2010. Sejak saat itu mereka juga muncul di Vancouver, Kanada untuk Anime Evolution pada bulan Agustus 2007, dan Anime Amerika Serikat di Arlington, Virginia pada bulan November 2007. Mereka juga Guest Judge untuk Anime Idol 2007 di Anime Evolution.
Back-On di Connichi 2009 di Kassel, Jerman awal tahun 2009, dan terakhir mengunjungi Taiwan untuk 2 pertunjukan live pada tanggal 26 & 27 2009.

ClariS

ClariS is a Japanese pop music female duo consisting of junior high school students Clara(ｸﾗﾗ) and Alice (ｱﾘｽ). They started as Nico singers under the name of ｱﾘｽ☆ｸﾗﾗ (Alice☆Clara)

Originally known as “Alice Clara”, ClariS began singing covers of mainly songs featured in anime and songs originally sung by Vocaloids, and submitting them to the Nico Nico Douga video sharing website between October 2009 and June 2010. In September 2010, ClariS was signed to SME Records and released their debut single “Irony” in October 2010, which was used as the opening theme to the anime Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai. ClariS released their second single “Connect” in February 2011, which was used as the opening theme to the anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
Since they are still junior high school students, they will not reveal their identities, and therefore, will be shown as illustrations.

Members

ClariS consists of two female junior high school students known as Clara and Alice (both pseudonyms, done so to preserve their anonymity for the moment). ClariS is a portmanteau of the singers' names and was picked as an homage to the character Clarisse from the anime film The Castle of Cagliostro.As listed on their website, "ClariS" can also carry the meaning of "clear" and "bright" in Latin (though it is actually spelled "clarus").Both Clara and Alice have been singing since they were in kindergarten, when they started having lessons at the same music school where they met as classmates.Clara can play the piano^.
In order to put a priority on their schoolwork, ClariS have not released photos of themselves to the public and employ illustrators to draw their likenesses.When drawn, Clara is depicted wearing pink items, and Alice is shown wearing blue items. Images of the crescent moon are used as a motif to represent Clara, and the sun is used to represent Alice, which comes from their personal preferences. Clara is shown with slightly wavy hair and no bangs, while Alice is drawn with straight hair with bangs. To further preserve their anonymity, Clara and Alice have not told anyone they know (aside from their families) that they debuted as music artists.Both admit that they are otaku, and have taken an interest in anime and anime music. Clara says that she keeps her otaku interests a secret from others at school, and Alice has called herself a Disney otaku.

History

ClariS formed in late 2009 as "Alice Clara" when, as first-year junior high school students, Clara and Alice submitted a cover of the Vocaloid song "Step to You" onto the Nico Nico Douga video sharing website on October 10, 2009. ClariS released seven more covers in 2009. On April 24, 2010, the publisher Sony Magazines under Sony Music Entertainment Japan launched the anime music magazine Lis Ani! with an attached CD containing the original song "Drop" composed by Kz of Livetune and sung by ClariS.ClariS released five more covers in 2010, ending with the song "Listen!!" from the anime K-On!! as their 13th cover submitted on June 5, 2010. On July 24, 2010, the second issue of Lis Ani! was released with another attached CD containing the original song "Kimi no Yume o Miyō" (君の夢を見よう), again composed by Kz and sung by ClariS. A single containing both songs was released exclusively at Comiket 78 on August 13, 2010.
In September 2010, ClariS was signed to SME Records and released their major debut single "Irony" on October 20, 2010. "Irony" debuted at No. 7 on Oricon's weekly singles chart. "Irony" was composed by Kz, and was used as the opening theme of the anime TV series Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai. ClariS released their second single "Connect" (コネクト) on February 2, 2011."Connect" debuted at No. 5 on Oricon's weekly singles chart, and was used as the opening theme of the anime TV series Puella Magi Madoka Magica.ClariS contributed the song "True Blue" on the Zone tribute album Zone Tribute: Kimi ga Kureta Mono (ZONEトリビュート～君がくれたもの～) released on August 10, 2011; "True Blue" is a cover of Zone's 2003 single. ClariS released their third single "Nexus" on September 14, 2011, and it debuted at No. 5 on Oricon's weekly singles chart. "Nexus" was composed by Kz, and is used as the theme song for the ninth volume of the Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai light novels; ClariS make a cameo appearance in the same volume. The song "Don't Cry" on the "Nexus" single is used as the theme song for volume 0.5 of Shueisha's Aoharu magazine.

Synopsis

Synopsis

"UN-GO" is a full-fledged detective story about a detective and handsome boy combo who tackle the world's most difficult crimes together for reasons of their own. The profession of private detective fell out of favor long ago, and yet, that's how the young man, Shinjurou Yuuki identifies himself. With his superior deductive powers, Shinjurou solves various challenging cases. Meanwhile, Inga, an attractive young lad, serves as Shinjurou's "buddy". But contrary to his cute looks, he's a sharp, arrogant rogue. Why Inga sticks with Shinjurou is as yet unknown. The setting of the story is a postwar, future Tokyo that still bears the scars of war. Ruling the land is Media King Rinroku Kaishou, who through politics and industry has the communications infrastructure under his thumb. Kaishou has used a clear head and the massive amount of information at his fingertips to lead to the solution of a great number of cases. But there's an underside to Kaishou's brilliant deduction work, which is that Shinjurou Yuuki, "the Last Great Detective", is the one who actually uncovered "the truth" in those cases. However, the public doesn't know this and thus refers to Shinjurou as the "Defeated Detective". Still, Shinjurou, together with Inga, can't help but search for the truth.
